CBS, 4 p.m., 8 p.m. ET Because of tropical storm Hannah soaking the East Coast Saturday night, the women’s final and conclusion of the men’s semifinal have to be played today, with the men’s final scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Roger Federer is in the final, but Rafael Nadal, whom most people want to see face Federer again, was down two sets, but leading in the third, against Andy Murray when rain stopped play yesterday. The men pick things up this afternoon – and tonight in prime time, Serena Williams faces Jelena Jankovic in the women’s final. |

MTV, 9 p.m. ET Video music awards? On MTV? When are any videos played on MTV these days, other than right after the farm reports at dawn? (Okay, so I’m joking about the farm reports – but not about the paucity of videos on MTV.) The host, though, is quick-witted comedian Russell Brand – and yes, Britney Spears is scheduled to make an appearance, though not a musical one. Hmm. That makes two years in a row. |

AMC, 10 p.m. ET Last week, Peggy stunned her colleagues, and inflamed one of them, by crashing the old boys’ club – actually, a strip club – and sitting right on the client’s lap. This week, her more assertive, uncharacteristic behavior continues. But why? |

HBO, 10 p.m. ET Still smarting from the universally dismal reaction to his independent movie, Medellin, a bearded Vincent Chase has been sequestered on a beach in Mexico – but gets the call to tonight to return to the States for another movie offer. And so it begins, again, in this season premiere… |
