BEST BETS FOR THURSDAY, FEB. 12, 2009

	SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS CBS, 8 p.m. ET This is the series that jump-started the 21st-century reality TV craze, so it deserves a lot of blame. But for remaining watchable, and interesting, it deserves a lot of credit as well, and host Jeff Probst really is the best in that business. Tonight, the 18th cycle in this series begins, taking contestants – and viewers – to the central Brazilian highlands.
	MY NAME IS EARL NBC, 8 p.m. ET Morgan Fairchild, who just showed up on Nip/Tuck playing a film version of Sharon Gless’ killer agent (don’t ask), shows up here, too. Suddenly, she’s popping up in some funny, flashy, quick-hit guest spots. Casting agents, take note.
	THE OFFICE NBC, 9 p.m. ET As part of tonight’s new episode, Pam goes to the front of the conference room and adopts a Forrest Gump accent. What more do you need to know?
	30 ROCK NBC, 9:30 p.m. ET Yesterday on the CBS sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Christine got caught in her toilet. Tonight on this show, Tina Fey’s Liz gets caught on hers… which new potential boyfriend, played by Jon Hamm, announces immediately is “too soon.” What more do you need to know?
	ER NBC, 10 p.m. ET Eric La Salle returns tonight – but behind the camera, directing this new episode.
	BURN NOTICE USA, 10 p.m. ET There’s a bank robbery in tonight’s episode, and Michael is stuck in the middle of it. Oh, well – at least it’s more dignified than being stuck in, or on, a toilet.
