ESPN2, 7 a.m. ET; NBC, noon ET Thus far, Venus and Serena Williams have made good – double good – on their shared quest to make it through the 2009 Wimbledon draw, with hopes of facing each other in the finals. Animal Planet, 8 p.m. ET For family-friendly Animal Planet, this is a potentially disturbing documentary – but a haunting one. Werner Herzog, whose nonfiction films are as artistic as his scripted ones, directs this 2005 documentary about Timothy Treadwell, a young man who lived – and died – among wild bears in the Alaska wilderness. One of the best parts of this movie is what Herzog chooses, quite intentionally, NOT to present. |

Encore, 8 p.m. ET Javier Bardem and his air-propelled cattle stunner was a stunner of a weapon AND a stunner of a performance. He’s the best thing about this 2007 movie, in a Coen Brothers movie filled with great moments and performances. |

HBO, 8 p.m. ET Jason Segal, who wrote this 2008 movie as well as starred in it, plays a character who finds it difficult to get over a sudden breakup with the title character. As played by Kristen Bell, it’s completely understandable. |

TCM, 8 p.m. ET Start the long holiday weekend with one of the best family movies ever made. It’s 70 years old this year – which, when you think about it, is kind of amazing. But it’s still iconic, still magical – and after all this time, still guaranteed to enchant. |

Flix, 9:45 p.m. ET With The Hangover becoming such a major summer hit, it’s timely to revisit this 1998 movie about a bachelor party gone very, very wrong. Stars include Jeremy Piven, Christian Slater, Daniel Stern – and Cameron Diaz. |
